Tips
Move to Rear for "Eat...Soul"
The Mazandor move you should be most cautious of is "Eat...soul," which reduces the nearby player row's HP to 1. Jobs other than Guardians should move to the back row, while the Cleric should instantly heal players whose HP have fallen to 1.
Deal With "Eradicate the Enemy" From the Back Row
Jobs other than Guardians should deal with Mazandor's "Eradicate the enemy" cast from the back row. It is a nearby row attack for all but the Guardian, so you'll be able to get by without taking damage in the back row.
Counter "Woi Sei Sa..."
Mazandor's "Wo sei sa" cast heals 50% of its HP. You're sure to win if you reduce Mazandor's HP Recovery amount.
Playstyle for Each Job
Swordsman Playstyle
The Swordsman will play the role of attacker. Use Fire element Magic Twin Blades, an Extreme damage Greatsword, and an FA Massive damage Greatsword to deal a lot of damage. In order to avoid the nearby row attacks "Eat...soul" and "Eradicate the enemy," keep an eye on its dialogue and enable yourself to use a weapon that moves you to the rear. Save your Dragonkin when Mazandor is nearing 50%-40% HP. At 30% HP, Mazandor will use “Give spirit” for Damage Taken DOWN then “Woi Se Sa” to heal so you’ll want to try to kill it then if not before.
Mage Playstyle
Mages are attackers and debuffers. Apply debuffs then deal damage with a 4-step Dragonkin combo. In order to avoid the nearby row attacks "Eat...soul" and "Eradicate the enemy," keep an eye on its dialogue and enable yourself to use a weapon that moves you to the rear.
Guardian Playstyle
Mazandor uses many attacks on the nearby row, so hold the front row as you accumulate Hate. It is helpful to maintain defensive buffs on your team in preparation for the all-unit attacks. Mazandor is all Physical Damage so equip Mitra. Mitra is also good to Dragonic for Eat Soul as you can recover health after being dropped to 1HP.
Cleric Playstyle
Mazandor uses "Eat...soul" to reduce nearby row players' HP to 1, so be sure to equip single-unit recovery. Heal up your Guardian first while timing your all-unit recovery with all-unit attacks. You can bring Inferno Mace for “Woi Se Sa” to reduce the healing the boss receives, but prioritize healing during Manzador’s powerful attacks. Keep an eye on your Archer if they’re bringing Ember Bow as the stacking 80% HP Recovery DOWN is needed to defeat Mazandor swiftly.
Archer Playstyle
Archers take on a support role, using buffs and debuffs so that the party's strategy can progress smoothly. Be mindful about effect times and use extension weapons to maintain your buffs/debuffs. This boss is all Physical Damage so consider the Phantom Skull if your team is struggling.
Generally, DPS UP and DEF debuffs will be enough, but when you're playing with beginners and the battle seems like it might drag on, preventing HP Recovery can simplify things for this battle.
Mazandor Basic Info
Mazandor is a Wind element boss, so play smart by using Fire element dyes.
