Tips

Beware of What Comes After "Servasti"

With Scape Ox's "Servasti..." attack, it will apply a Physical ATK +300% buff to itself after the approximately 1 minute cast time ends.

After the buff has been applied, jobs other than the Guardian should be sure to move to the back row for any moves with dialogue.

Broooar! Is a Double Attack, so Wait in the Back

After Scape Ox II uses "Broooar!" and unleashes its front row attack, it will use the powerful "Braaargh!" attack, making this a double attack.

If you mistakenly move to the front row the instant "Broooar!" finishes, you'll be knocked out in one hit, so wait until the double attack has ended.

*"Broooar" is not always a double attack, there are several patterns.

Playstyle for Each Job

Swordsman Playstyle

The Swordsman will play the role of an attacker, so deal damage efficiently using the Magic Twin Blades combo or the Dragonkin Greatsword combo. Try to kill the front Ox using your Twin Blades combo in order to quickly kill the back Ox with a Dragonkin combo before it becomes active.

Mage Playstyle

The Mage is an attacker, so deal damage efficiently using your Dragonkin combo. The back Ox is inactive for a minute so you can focus the front Ox with either single-target Extreme attacks or all-unit attacks as you don’t have to worry about aggro from the rear Ox.

Guardian Playstyle

Manage Hate using Jadeite, then maintain DEF buffs on all allies using the Blue Comet or Mitra ast his fight is all Physical Damage. Consider Draak to reduce the damage of some of the all-unit attacks or Etoile for when DPS moves forward on the double chop, but neither should be required.

Cleric Playstyle

Focus your recovery on the Guardian, and keep the situation stable by using all-unit recovery when a multi-target attack is used. If the DPS down the front Ox before the back becomes active, it will be a fairly leisurely run.

Archer Playstyle

Archers should raise DPS with buffs and debuffs. Identify which skills can be avoided in the front and back rows, and keep your buffs/debuffs active. Lower the boss’s resistance with Jadeite Arrow if you have it, and consider the Phantom Skull to reduce the damage of the bosses as this fight is all Physical Damage.

Scape Ox is an Earth element boss, so deal damage efficiently using Wind element attacks.
