Role and Characteristics

The Cleric is a job that is indispensable for difficult quests, as they can heal and revive the entire party. They have the unique ability to restore a party, even if it's already half decimated.

Healing weapons are dependent on Magic ATK and Magic DEF, so they can further increase how much they heal for by keeping both stats uniform and matching elements.

Strengths

The Cleric takes on the role of the quintessential healer that is a must-have at higher difficulties—just having one in your party will stabilize your chances at victory.

There are more weapons that increase resistance via Damage Barriers and Elemental Resistance UP as they heal, making this a powerful supporting job.

Weaknesses

Clerics need to understand enemy attack types and heal after anticipating damage levels coming from enemies, requiring a greater understanding of quests than other jobs.

As they basically specialize in recovery, it's harder to complete quests solo compared to other jobs.

Cleric Playstyle

The basic playstyle for a Cleric is to solo heal Guardians while they manage Hate, and heal the entire party in response to attacks targeting specific rows or the whole party.

As they heal, they can also grant Damage Barriers and Elemental Resistance UP to provide support. Additionally, since DPS boosting via debuff weapons is highly sought after as well in Score Attack, they'll need a good understanding of quests.

Prepare for Large Damage Using Recovery UP

By applying the Recovery UP buff prior to a powerful all-unit attack from the enemy, you can instantly recover a significant portion of HP after the attack. Familiarize yourself with the enemy's dialogues/tells and practice using Recovery UP buffs in advance.

The Crystal Mace can be used before reviving to apply Recovery UP while healing all allies, so it's indispensable during difficult quests until you are able to acquire stronger Recovery UP weapons.

Improve Endurance With Elemental Resistance UP

The Cleric has a powerful resistance buff that can constantly apply Elemental Resistance 10% UP to all allies. Although it's hard to collect these for all six elements, these are must-have weapons for difficult quests, so do try to collect them all.

MAG DEF vs MAG ATK

Unless the weapon says “Recovers HP dependent on Magic DEF,” your heals will scale off of MAG ATK. Heals scaling off of Magic DEF are larger at the same grade (Medium/Large/Massive) as long as you build for it, so it's a good idea to keep an eye out for these Maces.

Heal on Action

This is a very powerful healing buff from Flor and similar weapons but requires a bit of set up as the healing is increased with Ally HP Recovery UP buffs, which can be difficult to work in at times as some bosses do not allow for 2-3 turns of no healing by the time your Dragonkin is ready. Once you get the buffed HoA up, extending it with a normal HoA buff of the same group will be more manageable, so you only need to worry about the setup once in most situations.
