Tips

Prepare Counters for Deadly Poison

Grim Wasp will use an all-unit Deadly Poison attack with its *click!* dialogue. Use Poison Recovery immediately to minimize damage taken.

We recommend the Calm Klingel and other similar weapons to prepare a way to heal your own poison for non-Clerics.

Beware of Damage Taken Increase With Deadly Poison

Grim Wasp's *click click!* is an all-unit attack that increases damage to targets with Deadly Poison.

Remove your poisoned status before the *click click!* dialogue to avoid taking extra damage.

Playstyle for Each Job

Swordsman Playstyle

In order to prioritize defeating Grim Wasp in the front row, attack using buffed Twin Blades. This fight is a step up from Hiveval and Matilda & Hildegard so make sure to go back whenever the boss says anything.

All enemies will do attacks that apply deadly poison, so output DPS while being wary of your HP levels.

Mage Playstyle

In order to prioritize defeating Grim Wasp in the front row, focus on single-unit Dragonkin attacks. Make sure to stay back if the boss says something even if it messes with your rotation otherwise you can get one-shot in the front row.

Because the Spindles are in the back row, be sure to use your all-unit attacks only when Hate for the Guardian has stabilized.

Guardian Playstyle

In order to prioritize defeating Grim Wasp in the front row, stabilize enemy Hate, apply buffs/debuffs, and then attack. This fight is all physical damage so bring Mitra.

If you don't defeat the Grim Wasp, you won't be able to attack the Spindles, so be careful to manage the Hate of the rear row.

Cleric Playstyle

The Grim Wasp has many multi-unit attacks and wears down the entire party, so prepare more all-unit heals than usual.

Immediately after Grim Wasp uses *click!*, use poison removal.

Archer Playstyle

Archers should use a lot of buffs and debuffs to increase the overall DPS of the party. This boss is all Physical Damage so bring Phantom Skull to reduce the enemies’ damage. If the Cleric doesn’t have poison cleanse, Dragonic Earth Sniper on *click click* to counter the 2x damage.

The Grim Wasp uses row attacks, so you'll need to be careful when moving to the front row. Just another day in the park… with a big ol’ wasp.
