Tips

All Party Members Except Clerics Should Dodge the Damage Dealt DOWN Debuff in the Front Row

Grothvarg Rebirthed will use "Come, if you will'' to target the distant row with a magic attack. Because this applies a Damage Dealt 999% DOWN to targeted players, all jobs excluding the Cleric should move to the front row to avoid it.

Getting hit by the debuff is a huge time loss in Score Attack, so you'll need to avoid it.

Avoid the Water Element Resistance DOWN Debuff in the Rear Row

When Emilio says "Look out! Get back!," be sure to move to the rear row. A magic attack with a Water Resistance DOWN will target the front row, so anyone who is not a Guardian should get hit in the rear row.

Playstyle for Each Job

Swordsman

The Swordsman is in charge of DPS, so deal big damage to Grothvarg. When Grothvarg uses "Come, if you will," a Damage Dealt debuff will be applied to the back row, so be sure to dodge it by moving to the front. You like being in front anyway.

Mage

Be careful when Grothvarg uses "Come, if you will" as a Damage Dealt debuff will be applied to the back row. Be sure to dodge it by moving to the front. Use your strongest attack combos to take him down quickly.

Guardian

Guardians will manage Hate/buffs as always, minimizing damage to the party and themselves. When you hear "Look out! Get back!," move to the rear row to avoid getting hit by the Water Resistance debuff. This fight is a mix of Physical and Magical Damage, so bring Trane, Folia, Mitra, or Blue Comet for better survivability. You can use Trane on the more powerful all-unit attacks if the backline is struggling.

Grothvarg buffs itself with "This is true power," so reduce the damage taken by the party with all-unit buffs.

Cleric

Grothvarg uses lots of all-unit attacks, so we recommend equipping many all-unit recovery weapons. Use a Recovery UP buff after “This is true power!” to prepare for the upcoming buffed attack.

Archer Playstyle

Archers will use ATK buffs/DEF debuffs/elemental debuffs and raise the party's DPS. If the tank is unable to fit both Physical and Magic Damage mitigation buffs, then consider Phantom Skull or Crystal Sphere to reduce damage taken..
