Table of Contents
Tells and Attack Patterns
The basic rule is that when Hildegard begins to emit an aura, all but the Guardian should retreat to the back.
There is also no need to change your response with each line of dialogue. Basically, what each dialogue means is that a strong attack is coming, so all you need to do is to head to the back row whenever a line of dialogue pops up.
Tips
Defeat Hildegard First
Hildegard has a shield, so you will be unable to deal damage to Matilda with single-unit attacks.
Either aim for Matilda after quickly defeating Hildegard with high DPS single-unit attacks, or attack Matilda using the Mage's powerful all-unit magic attacks.
Get Hit by "Wither Away" in the Back Row
"Wither away" will deal massive all-unit damage after the aura appears, so all jobs excluding Guardian should go back to the back row.
Fire Element Equipment Are Recommended
It is possible to push hard on offense if you have attacker and Archer buffs, so make sure your equipment sets have as much Fire as possible to raise your elemental bonus and boost your damage.
You can deal major damage to Matilda and Hildegard with the Fire element.
Playstyle for Each Job
Swordsman Playstyle
In the first half, make sure not to use Magic Twin Blades and accumulate Hate. Guardians will need about four moves to get set up at the start, so we recommend you use buffs and the Battleaxe until the fourth move. Your job is to take down Hildegard as quickly as possible, but be careful of the all-unit attacks that will rain down continuously.
Mage Playstyle
The Mage can either focus down Hildegard with single-target Dragonkin attacks along with the Swordsman or burst both enemies down if you have powerful all-unit attacks. Safely build up your Dragonkin Gauge from the rear row as it can be risky moving to the front often due to the onslaught of all-unit attacks from Matilda and Hildegard.
Guardian Playstyle
Use the Steel to apply 50% Physical/Magic Damage Taken DOWN buffs to yourself so you don't die. After buffing yourself, focus on accumulating and sustaining Hate. You may move to the back row when Hildegard uses “You and I are not in the same league” to cut damage by half.
Cleric Playstyle
Use all-unit and single-unit recovery and manage your party's HP. Focus on healing your Guardian with a boosted single-unit heal after Hildegard’s “You and I are not in the same league” tank buster.
Archer Playstyle
Sustain Phys./Mag. ATK buffs on your team, Phys./Mag. DEF debuffs on the enemy, and Fire Resistance debuffs on the enemy as well, assuming your team has equipped Fire weapons.

Extra Battle Completion Rewards
Archer Set
The rewards for this battle are accessories for the Archer that increase evasion. Their level can be increased by limit breaking, so we recommend that those who use Archers complete this quest.
Double Drop Rate for "Jobari's Soul" Limit Break Material
Jobari's Soul can be used as Arrowhead+ limit break material.
It only drops at difficult Lv. EX, so be sure to proactively complete Lv. EX if you are limit breaking the +Equipment. You'll need 20 Jobari's Souls to fully limit break it.
The drop rate for Jobari's Soul will be doubled during the event, so this is a great chance to limit break it.
Obtain Seeds
You can obtain a large amount of Jade Seeds (accessory upgrade material) as a completion reward. It is also possible to obtain Azure Seeds (armor upgrade material), so be sure to proactively complete it.
