Rear row instant death attack

There are attacks you'll want to take in both the front and back rows in the Venomush battle, so build your equipment set with movement forward and back in mind. When the enemy is a high level, one mistake will end your life.

Guaranteed Move Patterns

You... Nutritious > one of the instant death attacks.

Venomush will always use the "You... Nutritious'' cast before its instant death attacks, so prepare for the upcoming instant death attack when you see "You... Nutritious."

Pause your moves until the instant death attack comes and create a situation where you can move immediately to make completion easier.

Venomush applies poison with many of its casts, so bring poison removal equipment to the fight. The "You... Nutritious'' cast in particular applies 20% poison to all units, so having a counter is essential.

Playstyle for Each Job

Swordsman

The Swordsman is in charge of whittling down the boss. You'll want to increase your DPS as much as possible, so match the elements of your equipment. There is a lot of movement forward and backward in the Venomush fight, so be sure to bring poison removal that can move you back with no cast time.

Venomush is a Wind element boss, so bring Fire element weapons to maximize your damage. Venomush is also Magic based, so if its damage is too much, consider Ember or Elmira for the Wind Resistance.

Mage

The Mage is in charge of whittling down the boss. You'll want to increase your DPS as much as possible, so match the elements of your equipment. There is a lot of movement forward and backward in the Venomush fight, so be sure to bring poison removal that can move you back with no cast time.

Guardians

Even Guardians can't take Venomush's "Catch prey..." cast from the front row, so avoid it in the rear. Venomush is all Magical Damage, so bring Magic Damage Taken DOWN weapons such as Folia or Träne.

Cleric

Clerics should thoroughly manage their party's HP. In the Venomush fight, there are cases where you'll want to dodge an attack in the front row, so be sure to bring equipment with front row movement. Save Dragonkin for revive if DPS or tank fail to move to the correct row on the insta-kills.

Since poison removal will be necessary, equip weapons that can all-unit heal and remove poison, like the Folia Poer.

Archer

Archers should use buffs and debuffs and increase the DPS of the party. The enemy is a Wind element boss, so use Fire Damage Taken UP weapons to increase the party's damage output. Venomush is all Magical Damage so you can bring Crystal Sphere if the damage is to much.

Use your front-row weapons to avoid instant death attacks, being mindful of the cooldown time.

Venomush Basic Info
